7th grade students will have the opportunity to celebrate the end of the year by attending a field trip to the Main Event in Avon, OH on Friday, May 16th.  Students will be exploring different science related activities, including games, gravity ropes, bowling and/or laser tag.  The fun begins with game passes, fun cards, bowling shoes provided, as well as a pizza lunch for students on this day.  This year, the Main Event will be open exclusively to Avon Middle School 7th grade students!  The cost of the trip is $38.00 and can be paid through the Local Level link.  Your child will be given a permission slip in their science classes when we return after spring break in April.  However, any student that received an out of school suspension in the 4th quarter will NOT be able to attend this trip.

Get your reservations in early! All permission slips and full payment through Local Level or by check to Avon Board of Education if necessary are due to science teachers by May 2nd.  

TIMES

Students arrive at AMS for their First Period (8:00 a.m.) classes.

Bus transportation for all students will be provided.  Buses leave AMS shortly after 9:00 a.m. and will arrive at Main Event during the second period. Students will return to Avon Middle School Friday afternoon during 6th period for 7th period classes. 

MONEY

The cost for a ticket is $38.00

Main Event field trip payments should be made through the Local Level link.

The Access Code is the Student ID Number. 

We discourage the use of checks being sent to the middle school. Should that be necessary, a check can be made out to Avon Board of Education.  Avoid sending cash.

Main Event fees collected are non-refundable, though if students are unable to attend at the last minute, they will be given their Main Event game ticket to be used at a later date.  

Students are responsible to bring and manage their own personal belongings.

QUALIFY

Main Event is an incentive, academic field trip. To qualify, students must not have any Out of School Suspensions in the 4th quarter.
