Mason Intermediate
After School Enrichment 2024-25
Note -- All ASEP
classes are held at your students' school. Students will dismiss at the end of
the day and meet their instructor at the sign in location (cafeteria). Parents
are required to pick up students at the conclusion of class at the front
entrance of the building.
Run Club (MONDAYS)
Run
for it with Coach Jason! We help students train to be able to run a
5k. Run Club focuses on creating brave confident leaders. Our no guilt,
no shame, super positive philosophy gives kids the confidence to get out of
their comfort zone and get healthy! With a powerful training plan that
builds endurance and self-esteem, students will learn there are no limits to
what they can do!
Students
will run outside, weather permitting. Please dress accordingly. Class
will move inside to a gym in the case of inclement weather.
Enrollment is open to 5th and 6th-grade students!

Ultimate Frisbee (MONDAYS)
Led by Mason Ultimate member, Andrew!
Ultimate
Frisbee provides the opportunity for casual play and friendly
competition!
Players
will work on catching and different Disc throws while learning the rules of the
game.
Ultimate
is a self-officiated sport and good sportsmanship is expected. Running/jogging
on the gym floor is expected. Gym shoes are mandatory. No Flip-flops,
Crocs, boots or dress shoes.

Led by Mason High School National French Honors Society Students
Bonjour et Bienvenue! If you are interested in learning French, this is the
class for you! Over 4 weeks, students will learn how to introduce
themselves, talk about their families, discuss hobbies and sports, and
more. Taught by members of MHS's French National Honor Society, Intro
to French will serve as a first dip into the French culture and language. We
hope to see you there!

LEARN TO CROCHET (TUESDAYS)
Led by Mason High School Student Kanika Rahalkar
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to crochet your own clothes?
If so, this is the class for you! Students will learn the basics of crocheting
and by the end of the program, be able to crochet simple items like scarves
and read crochet pattern

GLOBAL PROBLEM SOLVERS (THURSDAYS)
Global Problem Solvers is a 4-week-long program run by the Mason
High School Future Business Leaders of America club that teaches your
students about real-world issues such as hunger, pollution,
deforestation, etc. and works with them to develop and market their
own solutions. Students will learn how to research the web safely and effectively. They will be exposed to the brainstorming and scientific
process. At the end of the program, students will present their
solutions to a panel of “judges,” learning to have confidence and
improving their public speaking skills."
Available to MI students in 5TH and 6th grade students!
