The famous 1920s writer, Scarlett Stringfellow, is hosting a soiree in celebration of her latest novel. Stringfellow has gathered family, friends, colleagues, and even strangers at her chic apartment in Manhattan to mark the event. She has also included the worst man in New York City: her future father-in-law, Clayton Banks. As in all good murder mysteries, the lights go off, a gun is fired, and someone ends up dead on the floor. The problem for Detective Charlie Dolan is that everyone seems to have a reason to want Clayton Banks dead, and this group does not like snitches.
