Students will have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement examinations during the month of May. The advantages of taking these exams as well as the format and content of the exams are described in the College Board's Parent Resource and will be discussed in the AP classes. The on-line registration process will begin on Monday, September 23 and the deadline for registration will be Tuesday, Oct. 29.
This on-line registration will walk you smoothly through each step of registering your student for their AP exams. All major credit cards are accepted.
The fee for each examination is $104.00. Your son/daughter may qualify for a free exam if he/she currently qualifies under the federal lunch program. Please contact Mr. Dave Lloyd prior to registering at lloyddave@lakelocal.org or at 330-877-4742 if you feel you are eligible. He will then provide us a student identification number. Once we have your student's ID number entered, you will be able to proceed with registration. A screen at the end will ask you for a waiver (use your child's student ID) and then any applicable discounts will be taken.
Although greatly discouraged, payments may also be made in person to Lake Middle High School, 709 Market Ave. SW, Uniontown, OH 44685. If you wish to register in person, please see Mrs. Erin DeHaven at Lake Middle High School's main office. Checks or money orders for registration will only be accepted if registration is completed in person. Checks must be made payable to Lake Middle High School. Payments mailed will NOT be accepted.
Exam registrations must be completed by Tuesday, Oct. 29.
Parents or students having questions about the exams should contact Mrs. Elisa Case at 330-877-4282 (ext. 2201) or Mrs. Katie Marko at 330-877-4299.
Students may pick up registration information from the Counseling Office or on the Lake Local Schools web page (go to Departments> Counseling Dep't. Lake Middle High School Counseling Department >Testing and click on the AP Exam link).
