On Thursday,
May 16th from 7:00-8:00pm, Megan Amaya will facilitate a hands-on Transformation
Collage workshop, based on PeaceLove.
Megan is
an Associate Clinical Professor and Director of Health
Promotion and Wellness at The Ohio State University College of Nursing. She
leads a team that implements wellness strategy, programs and services for
university students, faculty, staff and the state of Ohio community. Megan is
co-director of the Bachelor of Science in Health and Wellness undergraduate
program.
During
this workshop, participants will create a Transformation Collage. Some
transformation in life happens easily. Others require work. In the
Transformation Collage workshop, participants will identify and transform an
unhealthy behavior or thought pattern that may be holding them back.
Participants will make, take apart and reconstruct artwork to create an image
that provides inspiration for positive change.
The
workshop is free. Please have supplies/materials such as 8.5 x 11 cardstock or
paper (2-3 different colors are preferred), drawing and coloring tools
(markers, crayons, pens, etc.), glue sticks/white glue, embellishments such as
glitter, stickers, etc.
In
preparation, you may want to listen to an interview with Jeff Sparr, founder of
PeaceLove and Ohio State University alumni share his own experience with mental
health and creating PeaceLove.
